Regulations for the Geocaching Concours Val-d’Abondance
The game and the concours are for free.
Organisation: lesmontagnards74 and valdabondance.com
Lesmontagnards74 is a geocaching team which has placed and selected 10 geocaches for this concours. This team will take care of the ranking (form).
valdabondance.com is responsible for contacting partners to sponsor the event with local prizes, for the communication through the Tourist Information Offices and through the internet.
Awarding of prizes:
valdabondance is in collaboration with lesmontagnards74 responsible for awarding and distributing the prizes during an official geocaching event organised on October.
prizes which cannot be pickup then can be obtained from valdabondance.com (contact through email: [email protected])
Participation :
You need to register at geocaching.com (if you don’t have an account yet); accounts are for free.
You need a GPS device, a SmartPhone with preloaded maps and geocaches or a SmartPhone with internet connection and a data bundle
Only the selected caches of the concours count for the ranking
The geocaches for the concours are released online through geocaching.com and afterwards also available through valdabondance.com the day before the concours starts.

When the cache is found, please register at geocaching.com
Responsibilities
The general regulations of geocaching apply for this free-of-charge event.
Participating in the Concours is your own responsibility. The organisers are not responsible for any damage or injuries or cost derived from actions related to geocaching.
Important notices:
Check your mobile phone plan to avoid unpleasant surprises with your mobile operator.
Be well equipped for walking in the mountains.
The caches are not installed in dangerous places to get to, so do not look at hazardous locations.
